Apple muffins for dogs
Ingredients for 16-18 muffins
A large apple peeled and chopped
2.5 cups flour
1/4 cup oatmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup white yogurt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 eggs
1 cup grated cheese
For glazing
Cup (or 225 grams) cream cheese and low fat
2 tablespoons white yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2-3 tablespoons of flour
preparation method
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and oil the muffin pan
In a large bowl, mix together flour, oatmeal, baking powder and baking soda.
In a medium bowl, mix yogurt, water, oil, honey and eggs until a uniform mixture, and then add the apple and grated cheese. Add to the dry mixture and mix until uniform.
Fill each muffin cup to a height of about three quarters, bake for 20 minutes or until a muffin in the center of the muffin comes out clean. Cool for a few minutes, then remove and set aside to cool.
For the glaze, mix the cream cheese with honey and yogurt until smooth. Add flour only to thicken the coating and then spread over each muffin.
For a small dog, the muffin can be cut in half or a quarter, or baked in smaller molds depending on the size of the dog.
Enjoy your meal!
